Hard Yakka Workwear & Boots

Hard Yakka was founded in the 1930s during The Great Depression by David K. Laidlaw as a supplier of durable workwear. The company name is derived from an Aboriginal word for “hard work.”

Initially located in his parents’ house in Brunswick, Victoria, the business continued to grow and was able to open a new manufacturing facility in Sunbury. With a renowned reputation for quality, the company has continued to expand over the decades.

They have now added lines of footwear, women’s wear and various styles of popular clothing (including the new range of zip side safety boots) to their popular range. Synonymous with hard work and durable, quality clothing, Hard Yakka is one of the largest workwear suppliers in the Southern Hemisphere.
